Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple Jodhpur Inaugurated After Seven-Year Wait

Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple Jodhpur opened its doors on September 25 after seven years of anticipation. Devotees celebrated the grand inauguration as thousands of locals and dignitaries attended the historic event. The temple now stands as a spiritual, cultural, and architectural landmark, giving Jodhpur a new identity in faith, heritage, and tourism.

The day began with spiritual energy when senior saints from the Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) performed Mahapuja at 6:45 am. Devotees gathered in large numbers to witness the Pran Pratishtha rituals, where sacred idols were consecrated amid Vedic chants and devotional hymns.

The temple enshrines idols of Lord Shri Swaminarayan, Aksharbrahma Gunatitanand Swami, Shri Krishna-Radha, Shri Ram-Sita, Shiva-Parvati, Ganpati, Hanumanji, Neelkanth Varni, and the revered Guru Parampara. The first aarti filled devotees with deep emotion and spiritual joy, creating an unforgettable moment of divine connection.

Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple Jodhpur Hosts Grand Inauguration with Top Leaders

The formal inauguration of Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple Jodhpur began at 6 pm with several dignitaries in attendance, according to News18 Hindi. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, Union Ministers Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Arjun Ram Meghwal, and Jodhpur’s former Maharaja Gaj Singh graced the event. Built by the BAPS organisation, the temple showcases the organisation’s signature architectural grandeur.

Craftsmen used traditional Jodhpuri pink sandstone to build the temple in classic Indian temple style. The structure stands as a spiritual sanctuary and a masterpiece of design, symbolizing devotion, peace, and cultural unity. The temple aims to boost religious tourism in Rajasthan while serving as a hub for spiritual learning and community engagement.

Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple Jodhpur Welcomes Devotees with Daily Darshan and Aarti Schedule

Prominent saints—Shwet Prakash Swami, Gyananand Swami, Yogi Prem Swami, and Aksharprem Swami—led the opening day activities at Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple Jodhpur. They ensured smooth execution of rituals, prasad distribution, satsang sessions, and hospitality for thousands of devotees.

The temple now welcomes visitors daily from 7:30 am to 8:30 pm. Devotees can attend Mangala Aarti at 4:30 am, Rajbhog Aarti at 12:30 pm, and Sandhya Aarti at 7 pm. With its spiritual ambiance and cultural significance, the temple aims to attract pilgrims and tourists from across India and abroad, making it a major hub for religious tourism in Rajasthan.
