- Constable (Tradesman) – Male: 3,406 posts
- Constable (Tradesman) – Female: 182 posts
Eligibility Criteria for BSF Recruitment 2025
Educational Qualification:
- Cook, Water Carrier, Waiter: 10th pass + Food Production/Kitchen course from a recognized institute.
- Carpenter, Plumber, Painter, Electrician, Pump Operator, Upholster: 10th pass + One-year diploma in relevant trade + One-year experience.
- Cobbler, Tailor, Washerman, Barber, Sweeper, Khoji/Syce: 10th pass + Skilled in relevant trade + Must pass trade test.
Age Limit:
- Candidates must be 18 to 25 years old.
- Age relaxation applies for reserved categories as per government norms.
Selection Process
BSF will conduct the recruitment in multiple stages:
- Physical Standard Test (PST)
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Trade Test
- Document Verification
- Written Examination
- Medical Examination
Salary for BSF Constable Tradesman
Selected candidates will receive a salary in Pay Level 3 (₹21,700 – ₹69,100) along with allowances such as:
- House Rent Allowance (HRA)
- Transport Allowance
- Dearness Allowance
